Tasting Notes

This may be the most “classic” of the Nicholson Jones wines to date. A bit coy on the nose, deep and dark fruits emerge alongside a damp woodsy character and delicate floral notes. In the mouth, baking spices, lavender and pine nestle in among a warm hint of rosewood, bringing forward dark raspberries, blackberries and just enough chocolate to temper the wound up, fresh acidity. The finish builds to a creamy, long crescendo, fading out with a lasting memory of cassis.
