2013 Proprietary Cuvee

Tasting Notes

The 2013 proprietary cuvée is visually noteworthy, transitioning from a deep ruby purple to a Garnet edge. The nose reveals black cherry, currant and blueberry in conjunction with clove and nutmeg spice notes alongside revelations of vanilla, cigar box, white pepper, and damp earth. Ripe black and blue fruits interlace with gripping tannins and nicely chiseled acid as well as grounding notes of savory bell pepper and sous bois. Layers of fruit are held in place by defining textural elements and punctuated with a long finish. This cuvée has proven to be a remarkable wine from a vintage that could well become a modern epic.
