2014 Sugarloaf Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Notes

Layers of cascading red and black fruits comprise a robust, complex nose. Ripe blackberry, boysenberry, cherry, and plum leap out of the glass in no small proportion, highlighted by seductive notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Plentiful extract once again meets big fruit on the palate with a silky mouthfeel and refined tannins. Great acid and underlying earthy notes provide a platform for the dominant fruit aspects of this wine, allowing a good counterbalance to the rich, full body. This bottling will benefit from a long decant and pairing with boldly flavored foods.
