Tasting Notes

Sweet fruit on the pallet gives up ripe blackberry, cherry, and cassis flavors balanced by fresh acid, fine dying tannins, and a peppery finish. Time in the glass reveals an earthy backdrop of sous bois, tobacco box, leather, and wet rocks, giving one the impression of a fine Bordeaux house in a ripe year, all the while showing archetypal American boldness and largess.
