2018 Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes

White peach, apple, and pear jump from the glass along with hints of passion fruit and freshly sliced Anaheim peppers. The plate shows refreshing acidity and citrus lift, held in place by chiseled minerality and a round, luxurious mouthfeel. Additional aromas and flavors will begin to emerge with more air revealing honeydew melon, white pepper, crème fraiche, and hints of caramel apple and white flowers. This wine is rich and complex but also fresh and balanced, highlighting this producer’s ability to combine the often angular and toned style of French white wines with broadly appealing, sun drenched California fruit.

Vineyard Notes

The Gamble Vineyard is located in the heart of Yountville. Sourced from the southern section of the AVA, at the confluence of 3 rivers.
