Tasting Notes

Lemon, vanilla, and baking spices are apparent on the nose just upon opening, giving way to blossoming tropical fruit notes after time in the glass. Extended citrus notes of candied lemon and tart pineapple show on the palate, dappled with hints of crème brûlée and ripe melon, all leading to a round and spice laden finish. Bracing acidity and an underpinning mineral freshness provide great scaffolding for a muscular fruit profile and phenolic palate weight.

This wine seems to situate itself somewhere in between classic “big” Napa Chardonnays and traditional French expressions from the Côte de Beaune making it a certain candidate for broad appeal. Drink now or hold.
